Terms of use

Five points, written to be read. The tools are free, they are opinions expressed as numbers, and the decisions you make with them are yours.

1. What the score is, and is not

The Launch Readiness Score is a structured self-assessment with six checks verified against a public web page. It is an informed opinion expressed as a number, built from a published methodology, and it is offered to help you think. It is not a prediction, a certification, a guarantee that a launch will succeed, or professional advice. Launches fail for reasons no forty checks can capture, and a high score does not change that. Decisions you make on the strength of a score are yours.

2. The verified checks

When you give a URL, our server fetches that page, its robots.txt and its sitemap once, exactly as a search crawler would, sends no credentials and submits nothing. Only check sites you own or are entitled to assess. If you would rather your site were not checked by this tool, block the user agent ProductLaunchBlogBot in your robots.txt and it will not be fetched again.

3. The badge and the result link

You may display the badge and link to your result page anywhere you like, unaltered. The badge reports the score held on our server for that result and links to it; you may not edit the image, the number or the link. Badges are shown only for scores of 70 or above, and a badge is withdrawn if the underlying result is deleted or the assessment version it was scored on is retired.

4. Content

Articles are written and edited by a named person and may be quoted with attribution and a link. They are general guidance and are kept under review; the published and last reviewed dates on each one are real. Nothing here is legal, financial or investment advice.

5. Availability and liability

The tools are free and provided as they are. We aim to keep them available and accurate and correct mistakes when they are pointed out, but we do not warrant uninterrupted service or the completeness of any result, and to the extent the law allows we accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on a score, a verified check, an article or the benchmark. Personal data is covered separately on the privacy page. Questions go to ebizindia@gmail.com.
